Travelling should a time of joy. You are to visit a new place, away from the usual hustle bustle and get to experience something you haven’t before. What’s not to enjoy about that? Only make sure your trip abroad is well planned. And while planning out, safety should be your number 1 priority. Make a safety checklist and ensure everything on it followed through and through.

Q) Have you packed for the right weather?

Before you set off to your travel destination, make sure you know what the weather is like. It could seriously dampen your mood, if you pack for a sunny day at the beach, and come across a chilly, rainy day.

Q) Do you have a place to stay?

While many people prefer to book a hotel or resort once they reach their destination, it is advised to book a room in advance. This will ensure you have a room even in the tourist season when hardly any room is available. You can also secure a good deal from hotels and compare prices/ locations suited to you if you book in advance.

Q) Did you get shots/medication?

Travelling abroad is loads of fun, but falling sick on a vacation is nightmare. Make sure you receive all the flu shots and vaccines required before visiting the place. Also if you are on any medication, pack enough to last you through the entire time there. You may not find the one you need abroad.

Q) Are your valuables insured?

Travel insurance covers a variety of areas, and it is advisable to get one before heading out. In case of theft, you will not be left stranded with nowhere to go. If the airline loses your baggage with all your money inside, you will won’t to spend sleepless nights at the airport.
